Just a little (link) love: pitbull rescue edition

CAREER + MONEY THINGS
This is why I wouldn’t go part time in a standard organization
Donna Freedman, eloquent on how pennies do matter to someone
“People with very meaningful lives worry more and have more stress than people with less meaningful lives.” On the one hand, yes, I worried and was more stressed over very meaningful things during my … half my life. And that’s not a terrible thing. But on the other hand, I’m not sure how much of that contributed to my health issues. A lot? A little? Not at all? (Probably somewhere between a lot and a little considering how deeply it impacted my day to day life and forced a career change.)
I wish to patronize this new comic shop in Philly to support it.

Pibble rescue
This temperament is why I will always love pitbulls forever and ever, amen. (I’ve worked with hundreds of dogs, and not once was any of the aggressive ones pitbulls. They’re love machines. Treat them right and they’ll love you until the end of time.)
I was horrified by the before shots on the video of the pitbull the first time I saw it. I’m so glad it’s doing better. Our dog is half pitbull as well, and he’s a total mushpot. Treatment matters more than breed, by far.
Too bad we can’t get our dog to bathe like this though. He’s been terrified of baths all his life. We can get him to take showers though, funny enough.

Honestly, pitbulls as a group are the most mushpotty mushpots I’ve ever had! Given even half a chance, they are just wonderful and loving.
Seamus, the most cooperative of all our dogs, wouldn’t relax like that in a tub either but he very tolerantly puts up with his baths 🙂 Submersion is only for some dogs, I guess!
