Good Things Friday (126) and Link Love
July 23, 2021
1. Neither good or bad: time is so WEIRDLY elastic. Saturday flew by way way way too fast. Sunday was much less disappeary.
Challenges this week: technology. ARGH.

All’s Well That Ends Well. I struggle with having grown with the HP series in some ways as well and the knowledge that the creator is a dumpster fire of a human. Terfs and racists are the worst. I hate that conflict between the hundreds of times I read the series for comfort so I could sleep, it was one of the few things that helped my insomnia, and my knowledge now of the racism in the series and current terribleness of Rowling. I haven’t read it in a long time but the hand me down books are on our shelf and I keep wondering how we’ll handle it with JB. Maybe read it to them and point out all the flaws? I do that with a lot of things we read.

Do you include pronouns on your resume? I include mine in my signature line because I’m frequently misgendered at work and finally snapped at people for calling me “Sir” as a default but I’ve not updated my resume for a long stretch.
Thanks for the link love!
You’re welcome!
Pronouns are in my sig now (I felt bandwagony but decided I should get over it. Basically everyone in my company now does this). I need to update my resume, actually – hadn’t thought about pronouns there or on LI, though.
Ughhhh, adtech. This makes me glad to be out of direct digital marketing. Honestly so jaded at the moment.
I don’t think others in my company do include it in their sig line but I finally got tired of being misgendered every third email. Now it’s just every fifth email 🙄
Still pondering if it has value elsewhere.
