Ha! I almost Storrowed about 12 million years ago! I lived around Boston and was going to move west and was helping my roommate move across town. We didn’t have cars so never drove in the city. We had a u-haul and I was the more comfortable driver so I was behind the wheel – and at the last second I remembered about Storrowing and veered off our planned route. (Though I’ve never heard it called that, I did know about it and this was many years pre-internet so it has long been a thing.) I’ve always wondered if we were at risk & just confirmed the clearance for most U-Hauls is 12 feet. Eek!

Ha ha ha, “storrowing” also occurs regularly in Chicago, when trucks get stuck under overpasses without enough clearance. There are some streets that are notorious for this.Reference
