Done deal: I just spent $733
December 16, 2008
after tax and shipping.
I just bought this lovely thing which should be delivered in about a week:
A few specs:
15.4 inch screen
3 GB with capacity to upgrade to 4 GB
250 GB hard drive
4 USB ports
If I’d been willing to spend twice as much, I could have gotten a smaller screen size – 14.1 inches was my ideal, and a much lighter machine, but now’s not the time to be splurging that much.
I was swooning over the Lenovo U series — starting at 2.47 pounds? Yes, gorgeous, come along with me …… But I don’t have two thousand to spend on it.
Budgetary Note: That’s pretty much cleared out almost my entire gift/travel fund.
The Lenovo is nice, but your is too!
I have insane amounts of technolust for Dell’s mini-notebook. It would be absolutely useless in my life, but it’s so teeny and adorable!
Worth it. I like that it has 3GB of RAM.. soooo very important.
And I am craving a new sexy laptop too but I should shut up and deal with the fab 2 that I have š
Oooh. I want. But I have no need for one… š
paranoidasteroid: They both look nice, it’s just the weight and size difference that has me still lusting after the Lenovo.
The Dell mini-notebook is awfully cute, too.
FB: Heh, you do have some pretty fantastic gear already.
Karen: Esp. after ogling the All in one! You started this, y’know. š
Ooo, where from? I’m in the market for a laptop. My blogging hogs the one computer at home and Mr M is getting fed up.
Miss M: I’m impressed you’ve shared for this long š
As little as I like the company, I found this one at Bestbuy.com. It was actually $110 cheaper than the exact same one on newegg.com, and I used a link through ebates to get a whole 1% back.
Revanche: Hmm, today my pc has been freezing (the cursor). However, I just updated to Firefox 2.X so that might be the real problem (I hate the awesome bar FF3 has).
Uh, what’s up with smaller screens being more expensive? Grr.
CC has a 14.1 for $799. But it’s in red.
Gah, the temptation!
I hate best buy too, but mainly it’s going to the store that irritates me. That is a great price, I’m going to check it out. If my car didn’t just need $1600 in repairs I’d have a lappie already!
miss m: I’m not a fan of the store either, other than the ability to actually touch all the computers and test their keyboards.
Check the new post, though!
