Weekend Spend, and a Carnival!
November 2, 2009
Kelly’s hosting the Carnival of Personal Finance at The Centsible Life this week, go check it out!
My money this weekend was the opposite of my five No Spend weekdays.
My haircut (months overdue) and eyebrow wax (weeks overdue): $25 after tips
Snack: $3.72
Tailor: $37
Returned items: -$32.86
Fruit: $0.98
Pizza: $5
Total: $39.88 [I’m not using the return to offset the spending, it’s part of another transaction entirely.]
Wow! Haircut and wax for $25! What a steal!
I’m a guy and my haircuts cost more than $25 thats a bargain. I did the opposite to you this weekend I spent hundreds treating myself!
I said the same thing, SS4BC!! $25 for a haircut AND eyebrow wax AND tip?? Did you get this done in 1986 or what?!
Hm. Interesting…where do you get your hair done?
I thought I’d found cheapskate heaven when I stumbled across a guy who could do a decent job on my hair for $35. Not counting tip.
SS4BC: I love that my personal care line items are so cheap right now … doing my best to keep it that way!
Matt: We’re keeping the balance. š
Sense and Funny About Money: Why yes, my hair/personal care does last a good 20 years at a time. ;P The haircut is done at a Paul Mitchell school for $10 plus $3 tip, my wax costs $11 plus $1 tip.
If I wanted to splurge on the cut and get a more learned student for a cut that takes half the time, then I’d pay $5 more. Right now, it’s not really worth it.
