Time Warner: You’re experiencing what kind of weather?

October 27, 2006

The hold message on Time Warner Cable’s Billing line is: Due to incremental weather, your hold time may be longer than usual.

It’s a good thing you’re not having inclement weather on top of your current woes, isn’t it?

*tsk* Does no one proofread their scripts before they play it over and over and over? I’d be nicer [aka, less annoyed] if I weren’t forced to hear that refrain 74 times while trying to cancel their overpriced service. And I will have to hear it again later when I call back to try to get a real person on the line.

So I actually DO have good news, Verizon is UP! And working well! So outsies goes Time Warner once they stop having the weather that changes in small measured amounts which, apparently, makes their phone system go all wonky.

I know I just HATE it when my weather comes in small chunks. That’s the worst!

Probably what happens is that they wrote the script correctly and then sent someone who doesn’t know the word “inclement” in to read it. That’s why knowledge is power, kids. šŸ˜‰

So you had Verizon solve your router problem? that’s awesome. šŸ™‚

For the taped messages thing, sometime in future I am going to design a machine with automatic voice on my end so that when I want to cancel a service I will just play that damn tape and turn the tables on them…..aah i wish.

  3. Golbguru: I wish! I think my uncle was nice enough to harass them and Linksys into cooperating!
Let me know when you design that machine … serve them right! I don’t know if you’ve gotten it before but I swear I’ve gotten taped messages from telemarketers telling ME to call THEM back!! What maroons!
