Ten days, and no word

July 21, 2008

Perhaps it was too much to ask for with free shipping, but I was hoping to take my new Martin+Osa button down shirt with me to the East Coast. I placed the order on July 11th, and the tracking information still hasn’t been uploaded, so that’s probably not going to happen.

I wonder if this slow delivery is typical of their shipping methods, or if there’s a problem? Hope it’s the former.

  1. I had a similar problem. I ordered my first batch (ahem, yes there were 2)on the 9th, they claimed it was shipped on the 10th, but tracking info didn’t appear until… probably the 15th or so. It was just attempted to be delivered Friday.

They use USPS, which seem to have pathetic tracking capabilities compared to UPS or Fedex. Oh, and the site (M+O) actually never had any updated tracking info, I had to plug the number into USPS tracking.

The second attempt, was backordered, then they canceled an item (are they trying to tell me something?) and still hasn’t even pretended to ship.

I’m a little annoyed, but we’ll see how the clothes look.

stackingpennies: It never even occurred to me to take that extra step and plug in the tracking number on the USPS site; I was just not that motivated even though I know they’re terrible at updating tracking.
