1. Whoops. It’s been such a jam-packed week I totally let this slip past me. We’re doing alright!

In a completely random turn of internet browsing, I found this fascinating article on James Stewart, The Fastest Man on the Planet, Finds Perfection
Cherie Priest on the state of publishing and her new book: Getting Naked on Main: It Was Her House First
Ok this is cool. I know mouse models are still far from human clinical studies but I really hope this translates down the line: Engineers transform dental floss into needle-free vaccine. New method places inactivated viruses directly into miceβs gums.
Vaccinated floss sounds SO COOL! And the description of figuring out how to floss a mouse was hilarious to anyone who’s ever had to floss a squirmy toddler. π But it makes sense that smaller, repeated doses of a vaccine would mimic how we naturally develop resistance to some diseases without fully catching them.
Yes, so clever! I chuckled at needing two people to floss the mouse. Parenthood 201 π
I hope this pans out.
