1. I took The Inheritance quiz and came up healer. That was a small surprise even if I didn’t go into it with any thought whatsoever.
But “ouchies never stop” is very accurate for my own life.
I don’t have a ton of positive feelings towards the Catholic Church with their many many child abuses, and many other regressive stances, but I do acknowledge they were the folks who helped my family resettle in the US as refugees. I’ve been so fed up with the Democrats and Democratic primary in the mayoral race for NYC. The racism, of course. The old guard digging in to endorse Cuomo, a sexual predator and corrupt AF former mayor who cared nothing for the city during his tenure, is such a reflection of the Democratic party refusing to build a deep bench and mentor strong likely candidates. They care most about their own power and nothing for their responsibility to share their talents and knowledge with the younger generations to ensure their constituents have good choices. So when the choice comes to endorse a dynamic new person who doesn’t have a deep (negative) history with the city, they do everything they can to bury them. It’s infuriating.
